Biography of Lory Masters

 
Lory Masters, CRB, (Dallas) owns Master Realtors, a Residential and Commercial Real Estate firm founded in 1986.

Lory has been a pioneer for human rights since the age of twenty and has helped create and/or founded such organizations as The Oasis Drug and Alcohol Program, The Women’s Chorus of Dallas, The Extra Mile Awards and The Women’s Motorcycle Club of Dallas. She has served the local, state and national community as an emcee, fundraiser, facilitator, and speaker. She is currently the National Chair of a Capital Campaign ($40 Million) for the Cathedral of Hope; National Human Rights Campaign Board Emeritus; National Board Emeritus Member of An Uncommon “Legacy” Foundation and a National Advisory Board Member of the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

Past state service has included The Texas Association of Appointed and Elected Officials. Her local involvement includes 30 years of service to many boards, committees, training sessions and fundraisers that include: serving on the Honorary Steering Committee for the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity (October 2002 to Present) and the Arlington Hall Conservators Committee.

Major awards received have included: 2003 “Saint’s Alive” by the Cathedral of Hope, Voted “Best Realtor” four out of six years, 1992 Schwab Award by The Texas Human Rights Foundation, 1992 “Humanitarian of the Year” by the Human Rights Campaign Black Tie Dinner, 1991 “Dallas Volunteer of the Year” by the Texas Freedom/Pride Parade, 1990 Dedication of Seasons Concert by the Women’s Chorus of Dallas, 1989 “Grand Marshall” of the Dallas Pride Parade, 1988 – The Extra Mile Award. Other involvement has included DIFFA, Victory Fund, Memorial Quilt, Leadership Lambda, Women’s Health Project, Turtle Creek Chorale, Oak Lawn Community Services, AIDS Interfaith, Bryan’s House, Nelson-Tebedo / Elder-Young Clinic, Business Women’s Network, Women’s Community Association and Servicemen’s Legal Defense Network and the Business and Professional Women’s Association of Dallas, Inc.
